The re-arrest rate of youth in Miami-Dade is approximately 80%. However, My Life My Power teamed up with Dan Wynne from United Teachers of Dade and began working with one of Miami-Dade’s Level 6 Juvenile Hall’s, the re-arrest rate of these youth has decreased to under 10%! With such a decline in re-arrest rates, we are eagerly moving to pilot a project specifically within the Foster care industry and we would like to invite you to be part of this historical time!
We are partnered with Our Kids Inc., The Children’s Trust in Miami-Dade County, and Voices for Children to create a full wrap around movement for our foster youth. This includes the foster parents, case workers, Guardian ad litem, Teachers, Police, and other mentors join together to understand our youth and supporting them in their life with love and commitment.
We are looking for people who want to be the best mentor in the world or apart of one of these agencies.
